Since our earliest days, the Davis & Haynes Ranch has made its mark as a working cow/calf operation. The lineage of our cattle date back to the first producing cows on the ranch, as we have never purchased replacement heifers.
Throughout the early years, registered hereford and simmental bulls made up our breeding herd. However, in the past 10 years, we have begun purchasing registered black angus bulls and are very pleased with the quality of calves we are producing.
Each year, we offer our weanling calf herd for sale. The herd is from the same blood-line of heifers that were introduced on the ranch in the early 1920's by our forebearers.

While many ranches have strayed from the "traditional ways", we still do things the "old fashioned" way here at the DH Ranch. As you can see in the following photos, we round-up and drive our cattle horseback with the help of other local cowboys.
